About us
After riding as a young lad and growing up around the influential Humphrey family Glyn soon realised he wanted a career in the horse world. Farriery appealled to Glyn because it gave him the opportunity in life to combine his passion with his profession.
Glyn has driven Equity Shoeing Ltd from a small one man band into a very successful training practice, and has no intention of stopping there!
Equity Shoeing Ltd's aim is simple, to be the best farriery practice in South Lincolnshire. We aim to maximise the performance of your horse through advocating correct foot balance and support. We believe most problems can be prevented through good management and regular hoof care.
Based at Heckington near Sleaford, with a custom built forge, we provide a travelling or forge based service depending on your needs. We cover as far east as Long Sutton, south to Parson Drove, north to South Boston and west to Newark.
Glyn has been running the business since 2001. In 2007 he became an ATF (Approved Training Farrier) which enabled Equity Shoeing to start to train apprentices, therefore expand our customer base and shoeing area. We maintain our high standard in our selection and training.
Our current apprentices are Ollie Ridout, Jamie Smith and James Holiday.
