Current Apprentices

Ollie Ridout joined us in Summer 2008. He has fitted in really well and is a solid part of the team. Ollie s Dad works at The Royal Stud at Sandringham, and his Mum is a saddler so he's well bred for the job! Ollie is achieving fantastic results at college and at home in his day to day work. Ollie had a horrific accident in April 09. He was kicked in the face by a younster at home, and broke his jaw in two places. Despite this he has managed to recover and catch up without being back blocked at college. This is a great achievment and has shown his increasing dedication to the job.

2010 has been a very positive year for us with regards to the apprentices. Jamie Smith joined us in march. He is a very experienced apprentice having worked shoeing racehorses in Lambourn for over 2 years. James Holiday joined us in June having just completed his pre farrier course at Hereford. It is the addition of these 2 young men and the un wavering support and ability of Ollie that has enabled us to expand and still maintain high standards of work and service. Full profiles to follow shortly.
