Apprenticeships

In 2007 Glyn gained his ATF (Approved Training Farrier) Status. This enabled Equity Shoeing Ltd to take on our future professionals for their 4 1/2 yr apprenticeship. From the start we have set very high standards for our trainees. Only once we are genuinely convinced they are going to represent the company and the profession to our standards will we offer them a formal apprenticeship. This can often mean an extended trial period.

Equity shoeing's apprentices benefit from on site accomodation, unlimited access to the forge and monthly shoe making clinics with ex army farrier and Myerscough lecturer Danny Bennett, who has represented the army at International competitions many times.
