The Forge
forge build2006 saw the construction of a modern, well equipped forge. We have solid fuel and gas forges which enable us to make a wide range of made to measure shoes specific to the individual. The shoeing bay has a full rubber floor for added safety and comfort for your horse, with low level lighting to create a perfect shoeing environment.

2009 we expanded the forge to accomodate our growing number of apprentices. This meant the addition of two complete new solid fuel workstations and a portable gas fire. To create a low noise environment for horses and farriers all the fans are outside, and air is piped into the fires. For a more comfortable working environment we also have installed a kitchen area with hot water and tea and coffee making facilities.
